South Milford resident Margaret Barr was  licensed by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu as a Lay Reader for our two churches at a service in York Minster on November 15th 2008.
Lay Readers support the work of the clergy in many capacities. Readers may preach, lead prayers and worship, and are frequently involved in leadership and ministry in many aspects of parish life.
